Egypt operates on 220V . Egypt plugs have tow pins . You will need a voltage converter, and plug adapter in order to use U.S. appliances. We recommend getting a universal adapter and converter kit.

Travelers to Egypt must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel, and at least 2 blank visa pages. U.S. passport holders will be granted an Egypt visa upon arrival. If you hold a passport from another country, please check the requirements. More information is available from the Embassy of Egypt.  Due to constantly changing regulations regarding visa assistance in the Cairo airport, for groups of less than 10, you will need to go through customs independently and pay the visa fee directly to Cairo airport officials. Your local guide will meet you in the arrivals hall after baggage claim, and will refund any visa fee you paid to Friendly Planet Travel..
